MS23.1      Side-by-Side Presentation - AORVA

HPERM Ref: D23/24028

Mr Darrell Knight, Manager of the Australiasian Off Road Vehicle Association (AORVA) presented to the Group on opportunities for Side-by-Side Adventure experiences in the Shoalhaven.

The following are some comments made through the presentation:

·         Mr Darrell Knight advised the Group that the vehicles used by AORVA require a C class license to operate.

·         It was noted by Mr Darrell Knight that a paterniship with AORVA would bring a significant finiacnial benefit by having another type of vehicle added to the Groups plan for a Motor Sports Complex.

MS23.3      Update on Actions - February 2023

Ryan Schulter - Senior Economic Development Officer – presented to the group regarding the existing identified potential sites for a Motor Sports Complex. The information presented is attached to these minutes.

That the Shoalhaven Motor Sports Working Group receive the attached Action Table for information.

MS23.4      Side-by-Side Vehicle Adventure Request in Shoalhaven

HPERM Ref: D23/7016

Recommendation

That the Shoalhaven Motorsports Working Group consider the attached report from the Australian Off-Road Vehicle Association (AORVA) concurrently with its broader consideration of Motorsport locations and facilities in the City.

RECOMMENDATION (By consent)

That the Shoalhaven Motorsports Working Group:

1.      Receives the attached report and presentation from the Australian Off-Road Vehicle Association (AORVA) for information.

2.      Notes that there may be an opportunity for collaboration with AORVA including side-by-side locations occurring at a future Motorsport facility.

3.      Recommends a report be received which considers a further investigation by Council of site options for side-by-side stand alone locations throughout the City.

MS23.5      Additional Item - Yerriyong Site - Investigation

This item was tabled and resolved earlier in the meeting, under item MS23.3 - Update on Actions - February 2023.

RECOMMENDATION (By consent)

That Council

1.      Further investigate the western side of the Yerriyong site on Braidwood Road, with the existing motorcycle complex, and

2.      Come back to the Motor Sports Working Group with a report at the next meeting regarding how the existing motorcycle complex is operating commercially.
