The meeting was opened by an Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians by the Chairperson, followed with a Prayer by Lieut, Matthew Sutcliffe Nowra Salvation Army and the playing of the Australian National Anthem.
An Apology was received from Clr Kitchener.
Clr Levett requested a Leave of Absence for the period Wednesday 26 July 2017 to Monday 14 August 2017 inclusive and the apology from Clr Kitchener be accepted.

He is a personal friend. The perception that his friendship with his neighbour would influence his decision. He will leave the room and will not take part in the discussion or vote.

The Mayor acknowledged that the Hon Shelley Hancock MP for the South Coast was in attendance at the meeting and thanked her for her attendance.
Team SHuFLLe provided a PowerPoint presentation and spoke about their experiences and achievements at the First LEGO League International Open Championship in Bath, UK 2017.
The Hon Shelley Hancock MP for South Coast, provided a cheque for $3,000 to Team SHuFFLe on behalf State Government. This funding was obtained after lobbying by the Member for the South Coast together with the Hon Gareth Ward MP, for Kiama.
